So many of us may have drunk a little too much over the holidays, so in an effort to be healthy we decide to take a month off and observe Dry January. Our team is joining in again this year! Here's the thing, there is no need to stop being festive even when you aren't consuming alcohol, especially with these mocktails.
No.1 • Jalapeño Grapefruit Mocktail • Serves 4
16 oz grapefruit juice
2 limes, juiced
1 tbsp honey
Sliced jalapeno
4 lime wedges
In a pitcher add ice, grapefruit juice, lime juice and honey. Stir well. Pour into glasses filled with fresh ice. Garnish with sliced jalapeno and a lime wedge.
No.2 • Orange Cranberry Spritzer • Serves 4
4 c 100% cranberry juice, chilled
2 c pulp-free orange juice, chilled
4 c Schweppes Ginger Ale, chilled
Frozen cranberries
Orange slices
In a large pitcher, mix cranberry juice and orange juice. When ready to serve, add Schweppes Ginger Ale and frozen cranberries. Garnish with orange slices.
No.3 • Blue Lagoon Mocktail • Serves 1
¼ c blue Curaçao syrup
2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
12 fl oz Sprite
Lemon slice
Squeeze the juice from a fresh lemon using a citrus reamer. Fill a 15-ounce highball glass with two or three ice cubes, if desired. Pour the blue Curaçao syrup and lemon juice into the glass, then slowly fill the rest of the glass with Sprite. Stir gently to combine. Garnish with a lemon slice.
No.4 • Strawberry Spritzer • Serves 4
11/2 c sliced fresh strawberries
1/2 lime, juiced
3-4 tbsp honey (or more to taste)
4 c Perrier water or other unsweetened carbonated water
1 handful fresh basil leaves
Ice cubes
Puree one cup of strawberries with the lime juice and honey in a blender or magic bullet. In a large pitcher, combine the Perrier water and strawberry mixture and mix well. Add in the remaining strawberries and fresh basil leaves and place in the fridge for at least 20 minutes. Once you are ready to serve, add ice cubes to each glass and pour.
No.5 • Peach Mockellini • Serves 4
2 peaches, peeled and sliced
2 c peach juice
2 c sparkling apple cider
½ c fresh raspberries
Place the fresh peach slices and peach juice in a blender and puree until smooth. Add the sparkling apple cider to the blender and pulse once or twice to just combine the juice and cider. Don’t over mix or the cider will lose its effervescence. Pour into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with a raspberry and mint leaf.
No.6 • Watermelon Aqua Fresca • Serves 4
1 watermelon small, seedless
2 - 3 limes, juiced
3 tbsp honey to taste
5 sprigs of mint
Chop up a small, seedless watermelon into cubes. Transfer the cubes to blender along with lime juice and honey. Blend until smooth. Squeeze the blended juice through a nut milk bag. Garnish with a few sprigs of mint.
No.7 • Sparkling Blueberry Lemonade • Serves 1
1/4 c frozen blueberries
4 oz lemonade
Top with Sprite
Muddle frozen blueberries in a cocktail shaker with lemonade. Either strain or pour all contents into a glass. Add soda. Garnish with frozen blueberries.
